FIRST-TIME CANDIDATE.
BUSINESSMAN.
COMMON SENSE LEADER.

Brian knows first-hand how Big Government mandates hurt our economy our way of life. That’s why he is running for Pinellas County Commission.

Escot Bus Lines started as a small family-owned business with a fleet of just two mini-busses that Brian would wash down during late nights in high school. Today the business is still family owned, but since taking over as President Brian has overseen substantial growth, from expanding Escot territory from Miami to Tallahassee to more than doubling their employees and increasing their fleet size to 70.

Brian accomplished this through responsible spending, shrewd discission making, and compassion for his employees and community. These are the skills Pinellas County taxpayers desperately need from their county commission members.

LEARN MORE ABOUT BRIAN

Brian Scott is the President of Escot Bus Lines, a family-owned business that operates throughout the State of Florida. In this role, Brian has overseen substantial growth including the expansion of the business with territory now stretching from Miami to Tallahassee, an increase in employee numbers by more than double, and an increase in fleet size from 2 buses to 70. As a business owner and job creator, Brian knows the policies that work for our business community and those that don’t.

Brian was born in New York before his family made the move to Florida in search of opportunity for their business plan that would lead to a multi-generation family business. Seeing the business and political climate in New York is exactly what inspired Brian to run for office.
Aside from his business experience, Brian has had unique experiences with public administration and government. From serving as a Director of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, President of the Florida Motorcoach Association to testifying before Congress twice, Brian has gained a deep understanding of public service and business advocacy.

Aside from his passion for the bus industry, Brian is an avid runner and triathlete, going back to his days on the Track Team at Seminole High School. Since his high school career ended, Brian has run numerous 5ks, 15ks, marathons, and even Ironman races with great success in each of these events.

BRIAN SCOTT’S OPPORTUNTITY AGENDA

ENDING THE TAX HIKES

Liberal politicians on the Pinellas County Commission have proven untrustworthy with our tax dollars, most recently evidence by this year’s TRIM notices – property values went up, but the commission refused to roll back the millage rate.

On the County Commission, Brian will take common-sense action to reduce property taxes and help you keep more of your money.

TERM LIMITS FOR
ALL ELECTED OFFICIALS

Part of the problem is that our county commissioners are not beholden to term limits. Brian is committed to changing that. He signed the petition to put a term limits initiative on the ballot, and on the county commission one of Brian’s first actions will be to introduce term limits on for every member of the commission. Running for office should not be a career, and elected officials should not have the power to grant themselves perpetual pay raises on taxpayer dime.

NO LOCKDOWNS,
NO MANDATES

Even when Governor DeSantis lifted the mask mandate and announced Florida was open for businesses in the Summer of 2020, out-of-touch politicians on our own county commission kept businesses locked down. The bottom line is that in this era of rampant inflation and economic uncertainty, we can’t afford county commissioners who put politics over prosperity. As our next County Commissioner, Brian Scott will oppose all lockdowns and mandates to ensure our families and businesses not only survive, but thrive.

BRIAN SCOTT IN ACTION

Brian Scott is working hard all over Pinellas to build a coalition of voters who care about keeping our community affordable and prosperous!
