Brian has unique experiences with public administration and government. His leadership experience includes serving as a Director and current board member of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority where his efforts were instrumental in streamlining the budget and lowering taxes, President of the Florida Motorcoach Association, TRAX Insurance, LTD, a member of the Pinellas County Parks and Conservation Advisory Board and testifying before the U.S. Congress on two separate occasions.

Brian Scott is the President of Escot Bus Lines, a family-owned business that operates throughout the State of Florida. In this role, Brian has overseen substantial growth, including expanding the business into Orlando and Miami, more than doubling the fleet size and employing over 150 people.

In 2022, Brian Scott was elected to the Pinellas County Commission.

Brian lives in the Harbor Hills area of Largo with his wife Sandy and dog Bentley. They’ve been together for 30 years.

Brian Scott is the President of Escot Bus Lines, a family-owned business that operates throughout the State of Florida. In this role, Brian has overseen substantial growth including the expansion of the business with territory now stretching from Miami to Tallahassee, an increase in employee numbers by more than double, and an increase in fleet size from 2 buses to 70. As a business owner and job creator, Brian knows the policies that work for our business community and those that don’t.

Brian was born in New York before his family made the move to Florida in search of opportunity for their business plan that would lead to a multi-generation family business. Seeing the business and political climate in New York is exactly what inspired Brian to run for office.
Brian has had unique experiences with public administration and government. From serving as a Director of the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority, President of the Florida Motorcoach Association to testifying before Congress twice, Brian has gained a deep understanding of public service and business advocacy.

Aside from his passion for the bus industry, Brian is an avid runner and triathlete, going back to his days on the Track Team at Seminole High School. Since his high school career ended, Brian has run numerous 5ks, 15ks, marathons, and even Ironman races with great success in each of these events.

As a successful business owner, he understands the importance of reducing government waste and making smart budget decisions that protect hardworking taxpayers. Brian Scott has voted against tax increases as a County Commissioner and helped implement the first rollback of the millage rate in 7 years.

Pinellas County’s natural beauty and waterways are vital to our community and economy. Brian Scott is dedicated to protecting our beaches, waterways, and green spaces by supporting sustainable policies that balance conservation with responsible growth.

In particular, Brian is fighting to renourish our beaches and make sure our coastline remains accessible for all residents to enjoy. 

ELIMINATING GOVERNMENT WASTE

Taxpayer dollars should be used efficiently, not wasted on fraud and government abuse. Brian Scott is committed to cutting red tape, increasing transparency, and ensuring every dollar is spent with accountability. 

Brian has worked to identify inefficiencies and eliminate wasteful spending in programs such as the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority.
